Itinerary along the Francigena road, nowadays the main street of the town, starting from Saint John Gate and ending at Saint Mathew Gate, crossing the Cistern square, the Collegiate church square with the Palaces of Podestà and the towers of the Salvucci family.
Not to forget the view point and St Agustin church with frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli.

It is possible to add to the tour a visit to :
- the Civic Museum with a precious collection of paintings on wood dating from 13th to 16th centuries, works of artists such as Coppo di Marcovaldo, Benozzo Gozzoli, Filippino Lippi, Pinturicchio. Here it is possible to climb to the Great Tower
- the Collegiate church with the two cycles of 14th century frescoes on the Old and the New Testaments, which are priceless;  Saint Sebastian of Benozzo Gozzoli and Sainte Fina chapel frescoed  by Ghirlandaio,
- the Archaeological Museum and Saint Fina Pharmacy, with Etruscan remains founded around San Gimignano, and a great collection of vases and Majolica jars for medicaments,
- the Museum of  San Gimignano 1300, a miniaturized reproduction of the town,
- the Museum of Torture often requested by students,
