Guided walk among the little street of Abbadia San Salvatore, town born around the famous abbey of Saint Saviour, the most powerful abbey in Tuscany during the Middle Ages. From the 9th century this monastery controlled the passage on the Francigena road. It shows a rare layout for Italy, with two towers in the facade and a high presbytery on top of a crypt supported by a forest of 36 columns, all with different carved capitals. In the afternoon we go on to Piancastagnaio which dominates the Sienese side of the mountain with the powerful fortress of Albobrandeschis and the typical narrow medieval alleys. If you prefer, we can go to Santa Fiora, one of the most charming stone towns on the Grosseto side, with its famous terracottas in the parish church of Saints Flora and Lucille.

At some periods of the year, in the afternoons, it is possible to enter into the Daniel Spoerri Garden.
