Registered Tour Guides

All Registered Tour Guides have been selected, trained, and examined by special commissions and passed a rigorous examination. According to the Regional Italian law on tourism they are the only ones authorized to guide individuals or groups through their province with the aim of explaining monuments, historical sites, and arts. (Reference Regional Law for Tuscany - 23rd of March 2000 n°42 – art 98)

 

Registered Hiking Guides

The aim of a professional Hiking Guide is to explain- with general concepts- natural surroundings to individuals or groups, their own links with the history of the place and with cultural traditions, and also to give basic elements of an environmental education. (Reference Regional Law for Tuscany - 23rd of March 2000 n°42 - art 118)

Incoming and outgoing Tour Manager

The aim of a professional Tour Manager is to give assistance to individuals or groups travelling abroad or through the country for the whole length of the journey, putting the Travel Agency’s program into practice and giving general and cultural information about the territory, leaving the specific explanations to Registered Tour Guides. (Reference Regional Law for Tuscany - 23rd of March 2000 n°42 - art 110)

Interpreter

The aim of a professional Interpreter is to help and cooperate with a Registered Tour Guide in the case of individuals or groups who do not speak any of the current, International languages. (Reference Regional Law for Tuscany – 19th July 1995 n°80 - art 4)
